I just painted my room "sensual jade", a dark teal. What color bedding and wall art would look good?

I love my dark room, but have no idea how to decorate it. I want to embrace these dark walls and have some bright highlights to keep it from being a cave. Help!

Mmmm. I love dark teal. To make the bedroom less cavelike, and to really make things pop, I would use a bright white cloud-like comforter for bedding. Then I would use little pops of tomato red in artwork, knick knacks, and as a color in a throw pillow. Perhaps you can find a print with red subject matter (like a flower), with maybe a touch of yellow and some greens to it. These shades will compliment the teal nicely. Good luck!

I would say some silver and white would look great in a room like this. Like silver candles, photo frames or something like that.

Maybe a deep purple, or even a light lavendar

i think both dark and light browns look awesome in dark rooms. too much color is overwhelming in a darker colored room, sunlight usually helps enough, haha.

I have a few color schemes to recommend.

    An Analogic one:

    A Monochromatic one:

    And a Complementary one:

i recommend white and dark brown furniture. it brings out the colour well. as for wall art, i say just stick pictures and stuff up, make it look personal. pbteen has great furniture and wall decor for this. hope this helped.

One of my favourite colours. My last bedroom had a teal wall. Gold looks really good with teal, shiny gold. I had a couple of mirrors with gold leaf on the frames. For bedding, I’d try to find a colourful pattern with some teal in it. Make use of lighting to make bright spots in the room, that will make it warm and cosy rather than dark.
